Day 1:Queen Alia Airport – Amman
Meet and Greet at Amman Queen Alia Airport. Our airport representative will be waiting for you with a name sign and he will assist you with your visa, customs and your luggage. After the representative will take you to your guide and driver, waiting for you in the arrival hall, also holding a name sign. Note that the visa is at your own costs (40 JD/57 USD per person). Transfer to your hotel in Amman for overnight.
Note that you will need someone travelling along with you who is not bound to a wheelchair. Someone who can help you push the chair up the streets and help you whenever needed.
Day 2: Amman
Your English Speaking guide will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel. Start your first day in Jordan with a city tour. Visit the Citadel in Amman, with beautiful views over the city. Continue to the Roman Theatre, located in the heart of Amman. Visit the King Abdullah Mosque. Stop for a falafel sandwich for a first taste of Jordan’s Middle Eastern cooking. Visit Tiraz, a non-governmental organization that is home to the largest existing collection of Palestinian and Jordanian traditional costumes. Over a period of 50 years, with pieces form the 19th and 20th centuries. This collection stemmed from a passion to preserve a disappearing heritage, whether due to occupation or rapid modernization and urbanization. Visit the souk, the old part of Amman and explore modern Amman by visiting Rainbow Street. Back to your hotel to fresh up before you will go out for dinner at Fakhr Al Din Restaurant. Overnight at your hotel in Amman.
Day 3: Amman – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Ma’In Hot Springs
After breakfast drive to Madaba to visit the St. George Church with its famous mosaic map. Light a candle for your loved ones if you like in this beautiful old church and admire its famous mosaic map. Continue to Mt. Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. Here many mosaics are to be found as well and there is a beautiful view over the surrounding area. Transfer to the Ma’in Hot Springs, to enjoy the mineral-rich waters of these hyper-thermal waterfalls. The springs are located 264m below sea level in one of the most breathtaking desert oases in the world. These falls originate from winter rainfalls in the highland plains of Jordan and eventually feed the 109 hot and cold springs in the valley. This water is heated to temperatures of up to 63° Celsius by underground lava fissures as it makes its way through the valley, before emptying into the Zarqa River. Your stay will be at the EvasonMa’in Hot Springs & Six Senses Spa, offering a wide variety of professional services including mud wraps, hydro-jet baths and showers, underwater massages, mud facials, electrotherapy and cosmetology treatments. Overnight at the 5* EvasonMa’In Hot Springs & Six Senses Spa Hotel.
Day 4: Ma’in Hot Springs – Petra
Today you will be travelling to the South, to Petra. Explore one of the seven world wonders. You will be taken into Petra with either a horse carriage or an electrical car, depending on your preferences and what is available at that very moment. Entry by Siq and visit the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theater, Colonnaded Street etc. End your tour at the Basin Restaurant where you will enjoy your lunch. After lunch you will be taken back to the entrance of Petra by either carriage or electrical car. Overnight at a hotel in Petra.
Day 5: Petra – Wadi Rum
After breakfast drive to Wadi Rum Visitors Centre. Our representative there will wait for you to start with a half day jeep tour including a freshly prepared barbeque lunch. A jeep tour is the best way to discover lots of sites in Wadi Rum. The jeep will stop at each site giving you time take pictures. Dinner and overnight at a fixed campsite in Wadi Rum.
Day 6: Wadi Rum – Dead Sea
After breakfast drive to the Dead Sea, lowest point on the earth’s surface. Enjoy your day floating in the salty waters and try out the famous healing mud. Overnight at a resort at the Dead Sea.
Day 7: Dead Sea
Free day at the Dead Sea. Pamper yourself with spa treatments or just put your feet up and relax! Overnight at a resort at the Dead Sea.
Day 8: Dead Sea – Amman Queen Alia Airport
Transfer to the airport for departure. You would need to leave the hotel 3 hours in advance (2 hours for the check in and less than 1 hour driving from the Dead Sea to Amman Queen Alia Airport).
