Itinerary

Day 1: Arava Border – Wadi Rum

Bring your own 4x4’s to Jordan during this unique 4x4 adventure!

Our representative will meet you upon arrival on the Jordanian side of Arava Border and assist with your entry and visa to Jordan.  After, meet our guide and continue to Wadi Rum for a challenging day of off-roading through a variety of unique terrain.  Get off the beaten track and explore spectacular sand dunes, valleys, canyons and culture where time has stood still. Enjoy lunch with breathtaking views and experience the traditional way of Bedouin life. Dinner and overnight camping at Caravans Bedouin Camp.

Day 2: Wadi Rum - Petra

Breakfast at the camp, then with your guide and 4x4’s, spend an exciting morning exploring more of Wadi Rum’s natural attractions. We will then continue via the King’s Way to Petra for the site visit. The site is accessed by walking through a kilometer-long chasm (known as the Siq), the walls of which soar to a height of 200m. Petra's most famous monument, the Treasury, appears dramatically at the end of the Siq, carved out of the sheer, dusky-pink rock face. Miraculously well preserved, this massive 43-meter-high façade dwarfs everything around it and perfectly represents the engineering genius of the Nabataeans. While you wander through literally hundreds of tombs, temples and colonnaded streets, your mind finds it easy to picture caravans loaded with frankincense, spices and textiles travelling through the Siq.  After the guided tour, have lunch inside Petra at Al Basin Restaurant, then with your guide, discover more of Petra's beautiful and awe-inspiring buildings and scenery. Dinner and overnight in Petra.

Day 3:  Petra  – Little Petra - Off-Road 4x4 via Wadi Araba - Arava Border

Breakfast, then we will first visit Petra’s northern suburb of Siq al-Barid also known as Little Petra.   It is thought to have served as an agricultural center, trading suburb and resupply post for camel caravans visiting Petra. The surrounding area is picturesque and fun to explore. Then, we will 4x4 through Wadi Araba’s spectacular sand dunes and scenery on our way to Arava Border.  This vast plain, wedged between the rocky foothills of Jordan and Israel, is the place where the peace agreement between Israel and Jordan was signed in 1994.
