Itinerary

Day 01 : ARRIVAL AT AMMAN AIRPORT

Arrive Amman Airport where our airport staff will meet you at the gate just as you leave the airplane. Full assistance with the visa and customs formalities, transfer to hotel in Amman for Overnight. (Buffet Dinner at Hotel) 


Day2 : AMMAN / JERASH / ANJARA / AJLOUN CASTEL / TALL MAR ELIAS / AMMAN

Drive north to visit Jerash, and you will see a view of Jabbok River on the way to Jerash.  

JABBOK RIVER:
The river is first mentioned in connection with the meeting of Jacob and Esau, and with the struggle of Jacob with the angel, which was later known to be God himself, and thus decreeing the name of Israel (God’s contender) to Jacob as a reward for his triumph (Genesis 32:23 et seq.). 
JERASH: 
In the Bible it is named Antiochea or Gerasa. According to Mark 5:1 and Luke 8:26 - 39, here Jesus cast the evil spirits out of a man. Today it is one of the most beautiful and best-preserve d Greco-Roman cities in the world. Lunch at Restaurant.

ANJARA: 
The town is mentioned in the Bible as a place where Jesus, his mother Mary and his disciples passed through and rested in a nearby cave. The cave, which has long been a Holy place for pilgrims, has now been commemorated with a modern shrine / church of Our Lady of the Mountain. 
AJLOUN: 
The castle was built by Saladin’s general in 1184 AD to control the iron mines of Ajloun and to counter the progress of the Crusaders.
TALL MAR ELIAS: 
Associated with the Prophet Elijah, it is believed that this place was formerly Tishbi, the home of Elijah, a native of Giliad in Transjordan (2Kings 17:1). There are two churches that were built on the hilltop at the end of the Byzantine period.

Day 3: AMMAN / UMM QAIS / PELLA / SALT / AMMAN  

After breakfast drive north to visit

UMM QAIS: In the Bible, Umm Qais is referred to as Gadara and was also a member of the Decapolis. This 10 cities alliance already existed at the time of Christ (Matthew 4:25). According to Matthew 8:28 - 34, Jesus casted the evil spirits out of two men in today’s Umm Qais. Lunch at Restaurant.

Proceed to PELLA: It was a city of Decapolis and after A.D. 70 became a center of the Christian community and refugees from Judea.  

Proceed to SALT: The first capital of Jordan houses the tomb / shrine of Job, one of the earliest patriarchal figures in the Bible. Salt is also the location of the tomb / shrine of prophet Jethro, who was the father in Law of Moses. 

Drive back to Amman for Overnight at Hotel. (Buffet Breakfast & Buffet Dinner at Hotel)

 

 

 


Day 4: AMMAN / BETHANY / LOT’S CAVE / DEAD SEA / AMMAN

After breakfast, tour the city of Amman. Start with the Citadel, where you would find Bronze, Iron, and Roman, Byzantine & Islamic remains, the Archaeological Museum, Continue to the area of Abdoun.                                                               

AMMAN in the Old Testament, Amman was called Rabbet-Ammon, and in the New Testament, it is referred to as Philadelphia after Ptlemaios II – Philadelphius 285 - 246 B.C.Points of interest in Amman include the Citadel and the Roman Theater, as well as the Archaeological, and Folklore Museums. 
BETHANY It has been identified for nearly two millennia as the area where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist. Stunning archaeological discoveries from the 1st century AD confirm that the site was inhabited during the lives of Jesus and John the Baptist. The late Pope John Paul II also visited the site as part of his spiritual pilgrimage to the Holy Land at the start of the new millennium. 
LOT’S CAVE On a hillside above the town of Zoar (modern day Safi), Byzantine Christians built a church and monastery dedicated to Saint Lot. The complex was built around the cave where Lot and his daughters found refuge. Lunch at Restaurant.
DEAD SEA the lowest spot on earth 400 meters below sea level. The Dead Sea has an historical and spiritual legacy of its own. It is believed to be the site of five biblical cities: Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim, and Zoar. Spend the day sunbathing, swimming, and relaxing in the gently lapping waters of the Dead Sea and be amazed that you can never sink!

Day 5: AMMAN / MT. NEBO / MADABA / UMM AR-RASAS / PETRA  

Drive 40 Km south of Amman to visit MOUNT NEBO:  
"And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah that is over against Jericho. And the Lord showed him all the land..... And the Lord said unto him ... I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. So Moses the servant of the Lord died ...." (5 Moses 34:1 - 4).                                            Proceed to MADABA: 
In the Bible, Madaba is named Madeba or Medeba, city of the Sihon (4 Moses 21:30). The city lies in what was the territory of the race of the Reubens (Joshua 13:15 - 16 or Isaiah 15:2 and 1 Chronicles 19:7). The main point of interest in Madaba is the mosaic map of the Holy Land from byzantine times. Lunch at Restaurant.
Drive to visit UMM AR-RASAS: 
A rectangular walled city mentioned in the Old and New testaments of the Bible. Just outside the city walls is the recently unearthed Church of Saint Stephen with its perfectly preserved mosaic floor. The mosaic depicts the images of the 237 Old and New Testament cities f the Holy Land, east and west of the River Jordan.                                                                         Drive to the greatest city of the Arab nation which existed 2000 years ago: Petra. Overnight at Hotel in Petra(Buffet Breakfast + Buffet Dinner at Hotel)

 

 

 

Day 6:  FULL DAY VISIT OF PETRA

In the Bible Petra is the city of the Nabateans, the descendants of the Nebajots (1 Moses 25:12 - 18 and 1 Chronicles 1:29 and Isaiah 60:7). The first King of the Nabateans was Aretas (2 Makkabar 5:8). In biblical times the Nabateans were Bedouins even though Petra was a focal point for them (2 Makkabar 12). Later Petra became the royal city of the Nabateans. The earliest historical records for the Nabateans date back to the year 312 B.C. and the last sign of life was in the year 328 A.D.  
The ancient Nabatean city of Petra was recently voted as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In 1985 Petra was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Begin your visit by enjoying a walk or a short horse ride from Petra’s main entrance to the entrance of the old city “Al Siq”. As you reach the end of the Siq, the first and greatest monument of Petra slowly comes into view. This is the famous Treasury monument “Al Khazneh”. Indulge yourself, and walk through the architectural and spiritual wonders of this majestic place examining every detail in sight. Lunch at Restaurant. Day 7 : PETRA / WADI RUM (4X4) / AMMAN 

Depart to the Natural Resort of Wadi Rum “The Valley of the Moon” a unique place unlike anywhere else you have ever visited. Arrive at the visitors’ center of Wadi Rum where you will be picked up by local Bedouins to explore this splendid desert. They will drive you with their 4x4 Bedouin Pick Ups (6 pax per pick Up) for approximately 02 hours to the Bed of the Valley of the Moon to the Siq Lawrence of Arabia. Lunch at Bedouin Camp in Wadi Rum.  Late afternoon, drive back to Amman via Desert High Way. Overnight at Hotel in Amman(Buffet Breakfast + Buffet Dinner at Hotel)

 

 

 

 

DAY 08 : AMMAN / AMMAN AIRPORT 

Transfer to Amman Airport for departure including meeting and assistance during formalities.
