Entry Formalities
All visitors to Jordan must have a valid passport. Jordanian embassies or consulates abroad are authorized to issue Tourist visas and it can be obtained on arrival without delay
The following entry rules apply at present for all visitors Except as noted in para. 3
Please note that the tourists from the restricted nationalities who are holding residents at the Arab Gulf countries and working there, are allowed to enter Jordan without obtaining a prior approval from the Ministry of Interior, but they have to enter Jordan through a tourism office; to insure that they will leave the country after the tour.
They need a valid residency from the country they work in, not less than 6 months, with an entry and exit visa
Those courtiers are excluded from the above decision: (Sudan, Somalia, Djibouti, Mauritania, Comoros, the State of South Sudan and Iran)

31-Passport number.

Departure Tax
The following departure tax apply at present for all visitors, except as noted in para.3:
Crossing Regulations-Jordan/Israel Borders
1- opens from sunday till thursday from
08.00 – 21.00 hrs & for friday and saturday from
08.00 - 14.00 hrs.
2- prior visas must be arranged and can not be obtained at the borders.
1- Opens from Sunday till Thursday from 07.00 - 22.00 hrs.
for Friday and Saturday from 08.00 - 20.00 hrs.
2- Visa can be obtained at borders for certain fees depending on the nationality.

Miscellaneous Data
1- There are no requirements for special health measures before arriving in Jordan.
2- Customs regulations allow on entry a maximum of two bottles of wine or one liter of spirits, 200 cigarettes or 25 cigars or 200 grams of tobacco and a reasonable amount of perfume per adult.
